Rapper Accused Of Assaulting Promoter
Over the weekend rapper Lloyd Banks was arrested in Ontario, Canada on charges of assault and robbery. Authorities say that Banks and three other men assaulted a promoter after he performed at Club NV. Sergeant Brad Finucan of the Waterloo Regional Police's Criminal Investigations branch told MTV News on Sunday that Banks and three associates got into a dispute with the promoter at a local hotel over payment for his performance and an appearance fee.
As of press time Banks is still being held by police. The accused made a video court appearance on Sunday afternoon and are due to back in court again early this week.
